Holistics is a self-funded, profitable SaaS company in the data analytics space. We recently concluded a repositioning of the company, and are looking to hire a capable marketing executive to drive, experiment, and ultimately execute a long-term marketing strategy to serve our identified market segments.

The customer pain points and personas are clear to us. The exact set of execution channels are not.

That's where you come in.

Job Description

You will be part of a small, fast-moving marketing team searching for channel-fit. We currently have a strong content marketing capability. You will help us find a set of additional marketing channels for our target market, in order to hit company growth goals.

The opportunity for you is in the space itself.

SaaS is the hottest area in the tech industry right now, and data analytics is one of the most dominant sub-categories in the space.

At Holistics, you will learn to execute a marketing playbook for SaaS companies from first principles. Because the marketing team is small, you will set the bar for all future marketing hires, and determine the direction of our execution.

You do not need to have domain-specific (Business Intelligence) experience — we will train you. What you do need to have is a rigorous ability to ideate, iterate, and execute on marketing channels that attract our best-fit customers. We have some idea of what those channels are. We hope you'll find more.

In the process, you will build skills specific to SaaS marketing, and learn what it takes to sell to technical customers. These skills will only become more valuable given the current growth of the SaaS category.

Key Responsibilities

  • You will be a key member of our marketing team, and sit in on all marketing planning meetings with company leadership.
  • You will develop, test, and execute new marketing channels to drive sales opportunities. Initially, we will want to test online events, webinars, and content distribution (video, visual snippets of such events) on social channels. These will have to be tested, evaluated, and if successful — optimised.
  • To develop a feel for the space, you will be trained in writing blog posts and/or landing pages on our company blog under the guidance of our current content marketing lead until you are ready to create your own self-styled content.
  • You will work with relevant stakeholders to iterate on targeted lead magnets and other sales enablement material.
  • This is a cross-functional role in a rapidly evolving company, so you will work with sales and product leads to understand the needs that other departments have.

Requirements

  • 1-3 years of experience in marketing. The number of years are not as important to us as having a strong foundation in marketing fundamentals. Love for Seth Godin is a plus!
  • If you do not have experience in marketing, you should be passionate about marketing and can show a track record of applied learning. (e.g. you've grown a social media audience, or you've reached the top levels of a competitive sport, e.g. Starcraft, chess, badminton, swimming, etc).
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Able to thrive under uncertainty, willing to operate with high autonomy, motivated by a desire to win.
  • This is a remote position. It'll be good if your timezone overlaps with the Singapore office's working hours.
  • Eager and willing to learn a fairly technical skill domain (Business Intelligence / Data) in order to achieve marketing objectives. You must understand the persona you are marketing to, after all!
  • Your application will be significantly stronger if you have: prior experience with inbound marketing such as content marketing, SEO, or B2B events/media.
  • Nice to have, but not necessary: you have prior experience in the data space.
