Weekathon is a 10-day innovation sprint where the entire Holistics team gathers—setting aside the daily work—and focuses exclusively on building creative and impactful projects.
Every year, our entire team traded in our usual desks for a 10-day hackathon—or as we lovingly call it, the weekathon (week-long hackathon).
Traditional hackathons, often lasting 24 to 72 hours, tend to prioritize idea generation and pitching over practical, technical execution. At Holistics, we take a different approach by dedicating 10 days, giving our team the time and space to create something truly innovative and impactful.
For the duration of the weekathon, we pause everything—except customer support—so that everyone can focus on building. Our members formed teams, proposed ideas, worked on them for 10 days, and presented them to a panel of judges. Our product managers write code, our marketers build PRD, and our engineers write sales pitches.
Everyone participates, everyone hacks, and it’s always an incredible experience.
Most projects were highly practical, quickly evolving into real features or enhancements for Holistics. This makes the weekathon a win-win: a fun, energizing experience for the team and a big win for the company. More than that, the weekathon is a chance for our team members to grow, exponentially. They get to step into new roles, collaborate with colleagues outside their usual teams, manage products from the ground up, and develop valuable skills like pitching and storytelling.
And most importantly of all, we have a lot of fun, together!
"What I enjoyed most (aside from the super impressive features ) is seeing so much humor throughout the different presentations. All teams worked super hard to deliver. Being able to combine hard work with a fun factor speaks of an encouraging environment with talent to match."

Beyond the learnings, it's heartening to see many team members step out of their comfort zones during the weekathon."
