What you will be doing & learning

πŸ’‘ User Experience: Work on both loosely defined problem spaces and narrowly defined, tactical deliverables to design features that fit within the larger experience and flows. Take the lead in shaping the UX direction of your product area & align with the product roadmap.

🎨 User Interface: Design well-crafted interfaces that elevate the quality & consistency of user experiences. Use a variety of prototyping or wire-framing methods to help illustrate design concepts, test their viability, and support the development process.

πŸ§ͺ Β UX Research: Define and contribute to user research initiatives (usability tests, surveys, interviews, etc) to gain insights from customers. Seek to understand user's needs & behaviors to improve the product experience continuously.

πŸ“ Conceptual Design: Understand the product at a conceptual level & break down complex features into elements to ensure a strong foundation for any new project.

πŸ‘₯ Collaboration: Work cross-functionally & closely with Product Managers, Engineers, and other Product Designers to see a project from research through implementation & beyond. Facilitate collaboration and alignment with key stakeholders while managing appropriate expectations.

🧩 Design System: Utilize our Design System to create consistent & scalable designs. Feedback and leverage the Design System & Documentation.

πŸ“ Feedback & sharing: Join our weekly design & product feedback sessions to provide constructive feedback. Mentor & help designers in the team deliver better work. Regularly share your UX techniques, tools, patterns, or new knowledge to inspire others.

πŸ•Ή Design Process: Collaborate with the Design team to continuously leverage the quality & contribute to improving our design processes & team culture.

You might be a good fit if you have…

  • 4+ years of related experience in product design, working with medium to high-complexity products.
  • A strong understanding of UX principles, methodologies & best practices. You actively seek to understand customers through qualitative & quantitative insights.
  • A high-quality UI or visual design sensibilities. You care about the details and can help teams deliver well-crafted polished experiences.
  • Love for problem-solving. You find it unpleasant when a problem goes unsolved, you want to figure out the root cause to develop a proper solution.
  • A good analytical mindset. You can think in systems & make complex things comprehensible & usable for your users.
  • Have a genuine interest in the space. We’d love to work with people who are genuinely interested in the product and the space we’re in.
  • A growth mindset. You are a lifelong learner, who is curious & strives to grow yourself, and wants to help develop our team & processes.
  • Great English writing and communication skills.

  • Working experience designing for data-focused or developer-oriented products.

What we’re working on

  • Analytics-as-code: Help data engineers & data analysts prepare & transform the organization's data with both UI & code, applying Git practices. (Data Modeling workflow, Version control,…)
  • Reporting features: Building self-service & reporting features to help users consume, visualize & generate insights from raw data with ease. (Canvas Dashboard, Dataset Exploration,…)
  • Product Experience: Oversee the full product experience & user journey, and drive Product Design outcomes and directions. Drive strategic initiatives to enhance the company’s UX maturity and quality.
  • Product Growth: Increasing the value proposition of Holistics to the existing target market by removing barriers to access and increasing product distribution.

Round 0: Portfolio Evaluation to see how you solve the design problem, your design process, experience, and style. We look at your past projects and their flow, interaction, IA, experience & copy.

Round 1: A chat with the Product Design team (Short chat to introduce Holistics, our product, and discuss to understand your skills, experiences & career path)

Round 2: Design exercise (offline or take-home)

Round 3: Present assignment with our Product team
